More November Snow

My neighborhood was completely iced over for the past few days and it was treacherous even walking around, but I had to see if there were any sasquatches lurking!

It rarely snows in Seattle so I took advantage of the camera. Unfortunately it really didn't start coming down in my hood until later in the day. The power went out for 2 hours and I missed the Simpsons. That is an outrage.

One More Doll on the Porch photo

I swear she is begging for me to bring her home. But what if she tries to eat me?

That Doll Head

On November 8th I posted a picture of an abandoned doll head. On Saturday I went to Whole Foods again, and either the doll re-attached her own head to her body, and her plastic skin holes mended themselves, or this is a different, yet similar doll. I did not see a lone head anywhere. This is one of those weird light-up Christmas choir girls you put on your lawn.

Crown Hill Cemetary

On Saturday I went to Crown Hill Cemetery and took a nice peaceful walk. It's very serene here, and other than one meth or crack smoker who did his thing and left, nobody was in the graveyard other than a million singing birds. Here is an interesting article on the history of the cemetary. At first I thought the Russian engraved tombs were super cheesy, but the more I found, I decided they were very interesting.

Queen Anne

I took a stroll on my break and snapped these photos on Lower Queen Anne. It was a beautiful crisp day. Glowing orange leaves still cover many of the trees. Pumpkins mysteriously still adorn porches. It's a miracle they haven't been murdered in the street by vicious teenagers.

Ghosts

When I go to Whole Foods, I park on a side street so I can visit this little cat who greets grocery store visitors. Next to his house, a man moved out and has left a few odd things on the porch, this doll head being one of them. Upon closer inspection, she has massive holes on the underside of her face. It's one of those strange things you really want to take home, but fear that she will come alive because you stole her from the house she has known for so long.




These are ghosts that reside on a table in my apartment. They live amongst the plants.

Fall in Seattle

I wanted to buy this statue, but never did. She looked like a little ghost girl. The trees are outside of my apartment building. The Seattle area has had 7 1/2 inches of rain in the past five days. It sucks outside, but the trees are so beautiful in the Fall.

The Seattle Center is somewhat of a ghost town during the non-Summer season. When it was built for the 1962 World's Fair, there were so many incredible structures on the campus. Over the years, I've watched it become depleted and bare. The once ravishing "Googie" architecture has become some what of a memory. There are still a few buildings, such as the Pacific Science Center, and of course our lady the Space Needle that remind us of what once was.
